Shabbat Services
We welcome everyone to celebrate Shabbat with us.
All Friday Night Shabbat Services begin at 6:00pm and Saturday Morning Services begin at 10:45am.
The vision of Congregation Rodeph Shalom is to offer the kind of Friday evening Shabbat worship service which will help create profound connections among all of our congregants. On Friday evenings we hope all of our congregation will come together to welcome Shabbat and to pray together, to support each other in times of need and in times of joy, to socialize together and to build a strong sense of community. In order to do this, we join together for an uplifting and transformative worship service that attracts the diverse population within Rodeph Shalom, a service which is participatory, warm, inclusive, welcoming, spiritual and meaningful, which helps everyone connect with each other, with the soul of Jewish prayer, and with God.
Dinner & Discussions
As part of our ongoing vision to create a more connected congregation, we have re-configured our once-a-month Family Shabbat services and dinner. We will now conduct Community Shabbat services and dinner once a month for ALL of our congregants. The monthly 6pm Friday Evening service will be for congregants aged 1-101 and will, by no means, be just a “children’s service.” However, before the sermon, all of the children will leave the Sanctuary with Rabbi Freedman for games, singing and stories. At the dinner, we will all eat together as a community and after dinner, there will be separate, but related activities, for both children and adults.
The cost for the dinners are $20/adult and $10 for children.
