Upcoming Events at RS:

Interested in the Process of Converting to Judaism? Join Our New Beginnings Class
Tuesdays, May 22 & 29, June 5 & 12
6:30-8pm
Catherine Fischer will facilitate a series of discussions on matters around identity, family, and community and provide an opportunity to share the challenges and joys of how your path is shaping those issues.
This opportunity to share with others considering and going through conversion can normalize the conversion process making it richer and more joyful. In addition, people begin to feel a connection with one another that can be very comforting. By participating in this group, there is not an assumption that everyone will convert. Our hope is that this class will serve your needs and interests on your personal journey wherever that may take you.
Anyone in the 2012 “Introduction to Judaism” class, RS members and prospective members are welcome to join us. Contact Catherine Fischer (215-627-6747 x46, cfischer@rodephshalom.org) by May 15th if you are interested. There is no cost. Feel free to bring your own dinner

RS Community for Widows and Widowers
Dates: Tuesdays May 15, and June 12

The loss of a spouse can be overwhelming. For many of us going through the mourning process, the comfort and support of community can help us move forward in our lives. To help provide the warmth of community at this critical time, Rodeph Shalom would like to offer an opportunity to connect with others. The group plans to meet monthly and would focus on individual needs in a warm and safe environment.
No matter what stage of healing you are in anyone who has lost a spouse or partner is welcome to join us.
Susan Gross will organize the group. She brings 7 years of experience as a widow, 33 years as a teacher, and a desire to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Our hope is that, through the power of community, 5772 will be a year of connection and transformation.
Please call Catherine Fischer, 215-627-6747 x46, cfischer@rodephshalom.org, if you are interested in participating.
