150
years ago the "German Hebrew Congregation Rodef Sholem" was poised on
the verge of becoming the thriving Rodeph Shalom that it is today. The famous rabbi, Rabbi Marcus Jastrow, was soon to arrive (1866); our current
property was about to be purchased (1868); and we were celebrating our
first Confirmation Class. With great pride, we commemorate our 150th
Confirmation.
