We encourage you to get to know our historic Reform congregation. As our Vision Statement clearly states,
We create a Jewish community of profound connections though transformative study, prayer, and urban engagement.
We find strength in our diversity of perspective, age, gender, race, sexual orientation, family constellation, and socio-economic background. We value each member and the gifts they bring to our community. At Rodeph Shalom, we consider our members partners in our collective effort to strengthen Jewish life for our community. We encourage each person to contribute their skills, passions, and resources to whatever level they can. Everyone is welcome at RS and no one is ever denied membership due to inability to pay.
In the Reform tradition, clergy, and members are partners in congregational life, combining history, creativity and richness of Jewish tradition with personal, ethical and spiritual convictions.
Members define their relationship to Rodeph Shalom in different ways: through prayer, through study, through social action and through community. Involvement with Rodeph Shalom might change as we journey through passages of life. Member’s participation in these activities strengthens the whole congregation.
We invite you to become acquainted with us and join us at an upcoming event or submit a Membership Information Request.

A Taste of Judaism has achieved remarkable success with unaffiliated Jews, those who are not Jewish but who are interested in learning about Judaism, interfaith couples and their families and those considering conversion. Please invite your unaffiliated friends and family to join us. Classes will be taught by Rabbi Eli Freedman.
