Tzedekah Bench Monthly Collections At the Mt. Vernon Street entrance is a bench that opens for storage. We call this the Mitzvah Bench and use it to collect needed items throughout the year. On the last Sunday of the month, the bench will be emptied and all collected items will be delivered to those in need. The calendar of mitzvah items to be collected:October 31: Coats and sweaters for the homeless November 28: Underwear for the homeless December 26: Diapers for kids in homeless shelters January 30: Food for Philabundance February 27: Cell phones for domestic violence victims March 27: Underwear for the homeless April 24: Diapers for kids in homeless shelters May 29: Food for Philabundance June 26: Underwear for the homeless July 31: Diapers for kids in homeless shelters August 28: Cell phones for domestic violence victims Please note that collection details (sizes, new or used, conditions) will be announced in the Bulletin each month.
