study from Jewish Meditation by Aryeh Kaplan and for the practice of
Introduction to Judaism
Where: Rodeph Shalom, 615 North Broad St.
With Rabbis Kuhn, Maderer & Freedman and Cantor Frankel
Tuesdays, January 2013 – April 2014, 6-8 pm
If you are an interfaith couple, if you are considering converting to Judaism, or if you are Jewish and looking for beginner’s education, “Introduction to Judaism” is perfect for you. Registration is required. Please contact Catherine Fischer at email@example.com
Catherine Fischer will facilitate a series of discussions on matters around identity, family, and community and provide an opportunity to share the challenges and joys of how your path is shaping those issues. Our final class will be a visit to the mikveh.
This opportunity to share with others considering and going through conversion can normalize the conversion process making it richer and more joyful. In addition, people begin to feel a connection with one another that can be very comforting. By participating in this group, there is no assumption that everyone will convert. Our hope is that this class will serve your needs and interests on your personal journey wherever that may take you. We will meet on 4 consecutive in May 2014 from 6:30-8 PM (feel free to bring your own dinner).
Anyone in the 2014 Introduction to Judaism class, RS members and prospective members are welcome to join us. Contact Catherine Fischer (215-627-6747 x46, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested. There is no cost for RS Members. Cost for non-members is $25
