RS Meet Up at the Women's March

Please join us in the Philly Women Rally March which will leave RS (following Torah Study; you are welcome to get inspiration with us there at 9:15am!) at 10:30am on Sat., Jan. 19, for a meet-up at TGIF’s, 1776 Ben Franklin Pkwy at 11:00am.

We'll march from there to Eakins Oval at the Art Museum. The March protests sexism, gun violence, racism, antisemitism, and Islamophobia and supports equal pay for equal work, the LGBTQ community and Time’s Up. These are our issues! Let’s follow Rabbi Maderer’s call to have a seat at the table.

LGBTQ Social Justice Meeting

The history of RS embodies a broad vision of social justice, which extends beyond our walls to all our brothers and sisters, regardless of race, religion, economic status, sexual orientation or identity. As we pursue this vision, we work to carry out our goal of enhancing LGBTQ.  As the Torah proclaims, “Justice, justice shall you pursue.” (Deuteronomy 16:20).  We call LGBTQ and ally congregants to join us for the inaugural meeting of the RS LGBTQ Task Force. For more information contact Heshie Zinman.
